It was night.
Niranjan came out of his room and
stood outside. He inhaled and enjoyed the pleasant wind blowing across the open
ground opposite.When he fortuitously looked up, he eyes were riveted to what he
saw. what was that?
Two legs were dangling in mid-space!
To confirm what he saw his eyes went up again-he could see the two legs again.
He was scared now.
Mustering some courage he asked,
"Who is that?"
No response.
"Who is that?" he asked
again.
Now it appeared someone was watching
him from there.There was a gesture towards him and whisk! He was abruptly
pulled up floating as if on an escalator!
Niranjan was severly jolted and
looked around the place he arrived. It was a circular shape with lights on
inside.
"Welcome" some one sitting
in there ushered him. He looked unlike a human being with a slightly different
features.
"What is this?"
"This one? Take it as a small
floating body"
"Who are you?'
"I am from bennot planet. My
name is Ramse"
"What? Bennot planet? So you are
not from our planet. KIndly leave me. I am leaving"
"Dont be afraid. I wont do
anything to you"
"What you expect me to do? How
I can be without fear? When I called you from down there you might have come
down. Instead you have whisked me up abruptly"
"I can't come down. I am in the
fourth dimension"
"Fourth dimension?'
"Yes. The fourth dimension. You
are in three dimensional world. This fourth dimension is invisible to you"
"What are you doing sitting in
this?"
Niranjan looked around the place he
was in. It was a circular shaped structure with some instruments inside
"You said it is a floating
body. There are instruments too"
"This is a small flying saucer.
I am collecting energy from here"
"Energy? Petrol, coal, natural
gas-of these what is the form of the energy you collect?"
"None of these, your name
....?"
"Niranjan"
"Look here Niranjan.You belong
to the three dimensional world. How many forms of energy you know ?"
"Energy? There are lot of forms
of energy. If we consider an energy daily we are using then it is solar energy,
electrical energy or electricity, ocean-thermal energy, wind energy, geothermal
energy, nuclear energy ... so on. Am I right?"
"Perfectly right.You seem to be
well informed about the forms of energy. Even then you know only about the
energy in the three dimensional world. I am telling about the fourth
dimensional energy.I am collecting this and taking it to our planet"
"What is that energy?"
"You can't decipher if i tell.
This is coming from outer space. Since it is unused it has accumulated in huge
quantities around your Earth"
"That means you are swindling
our Earth bundles and bundles of energy, right?"
"Bundles and bundles of energy?
No. Swindling? Not that either. How can we bundle the energy? It is just like
the age-old fossils trapped deep underneath in the earth forming oil and coal.
The energy coming from the outer space also accumulates in a collectible form
around the earth. We have fuel shortage in our planet. Therefore we take this
to our planet to make up our deficit. Anway you know nothing of this fourth
dimensional energy. If we dont touch it will go unused and wasted"
"I cant make out anything from
what you say"
"Your Earth has no danger
because of this, will that suffice?"
"Leave it aside for a moment.
You were in the invisible fourth dimension. Then how come you came into my
view?"
"Oh,that! My foot slipped a
little and my legs alone shifted into the third dimension. When I was like that
for sometime you sighted me. Since you called me I thought of meeting you and
brought you up here"
"Have you come alone?"
"There are four others besides
me. All of us came in the same space ship. We have stationed it at a place and
each one has come flying in a seperate mini flying saucer."
"All of you are in the same
invisible fourth dimension?"
"Yeah, that is right"
"Good fourth dimension!
"
""Are You coming to our
planet?"
"Now?"
"Tomorrow. We are leaving
tomorrow only."
"Let me think about it"
"Take your time. We shall come
to this place tomorrow. If you are coming we shall take you. What your are
doing in the day time?"
"There is a place called
office. I am going there"
"Supposing you are coming with
us will anybody search for you?'
"I have to come only after
making arrangements for that. Then no one will search. Besides I am single.
Unencumbered. Ok. shall I take leave?"
"Don't tell any body about
seeing me and tell what you have heard from me. They won't understand
anything"
"Who is going to believe that
anyway? Ok. let me leave. Get me down to the ground"
He made Niranjan to stand on a
circular pad and turned the wheel in the instrument panel slowly , the belly of
the saucer opened expelling Niranjan out. He slowly descended floating,
floating and floating and landed on the ground.
On reaching the ground he waved up.
Ramse seemed to wave back. Then
nothing could be seen. He must have moved off.
"How he was pulled up and
pushed down? He couldn't understand the mechanism of it. Niranjan spent a
sleepless night thinking about the happenings.
The next morning. He was still
wondering whether to tell anybody what he had seen the night before. No body
would believe anyway. Nevertheless it occurred to him that the extra
terrestrials are robbing the Earth of a precious energy source. How at all he
could allow that to go on? He should go to the space centre and inform the
people over there. He connected to his office through terminal applied for
leave, locked his room and left for the space centre.
When he said flying saucer in the
space centre they looked at him non-chalantly,
"UFO section. You inform
there" they directed.
UFO or such silly thngs. No body
bothered or believed these days.In fact no one gives a damn about it.
With these thoughts he approached
the UFO section.
They made a note of the sighting,
date, time in the UFO section and said he can leave. Had he come just to give
this information?
"I not only sighted a flying
saucer I saw one from another planet and had a talk with him"
When he said that they asked him to
remain and asked him to go to another section.If it was a still more special
experience he had to go there.
He broached the matter of having
spoken to the bennot planet man in the special section. When he informed that
the bennot blokes are collecting the energy accumulated around earth in the
fourth dimension the woman in the reception made a call over inercom. Whether
he had to go to another section?
"I informed that your
experience is very special to UFO research director. He is interested in
hearing what you have to say about that fourth dimensional thing. You can go
and meet him directly”
In a glass partiioned separate room
was seated a guy behind a gigantic desk in a swivel chair. The UFO research
director was a balding yet a youthful looking specky guy.
He asked him to seat on a chair in
front of his desk. He eyed at him as if asking him to begin.
He recounted his experience starting
from the sighting of dangling legs in mid space. He withheld the offer to take
him to the bennot planet.
"This fourth dimensional bit is
already an area under research here. Even there is speculation that farther off
galaxies are placed very very near in this fourth dimension"
"Then we can't use this fourth
dimensional energy?"
"Don't get excited. Have I not
told it is speculation. There ends our knowledge. Our knowledge is a very big
zero beyond that. It is incomprehensible to us as to what could it be. When
matters stand stay that way, we can't imagine entering the fourth dimension and
collecting the energy from there at all"
"Then why did you called me
in?"
"The fourth dimensional energy
is new to me. That's why I called you to know what it is"
"So you can't prevent the
energy around earth from being taken to another planet"
"I am afraid that is the case.
Anyway the people you saw are operating out of sight to us. It is indeed
amazing that you have sighted them. We are not in a position to use the energy
they are taking from here. As of now, I can say only that much"
"Yeah, what else you can do? At
best you can write a research paper on that" saying this he came out.
After returning to his room, he was
lost in thought the whole day. The blokes over here dont even know what was
fourth dimension was Why not he accept the offer of the Bennot people to take
him with them? He could learn new things and gain new experience through them.
If possible he could come back to earth and implement here what he learnt from
them.
That Night.
When Ramse came to the same spot as
the night before and called him he embarked on the journey with them.
