The great debate

Debating whether to participate in the debate or not

After the debate whether to go back to the room or not

After going back to room whether to sleep or not

After sleeping whether to get up or not

After getting up whether to go to work or not

After going to work whether to really work or not

After the work whether to shop or not

After the shop go round or not

After go round still leisure or not

After leisure whether money still left or not

After the money still left whether to keep a portion or not

After keeping the portion satisfied or not

After satisfying still happy or not

Whether keeping quiet brings happiness or not

So many issues so many debates

Is the order of the day

Day after the day, they make the life lively

But there is no debate on eating, sleeping

For they are must, debate quits there on!

Yuva is youth, they desend from all over India

The whole Pantnagar vibrates with

Their intellectual explosions

They create their indelible imprints,

Impressions, impacts before they depart

Wherever I see there is Science

Wherever I see there is Science

No need to search it presents itself before me

Right in front of me the laptop, the internet

Connecting you, me and all

The vehicles carrying me be it bike,

Car, train, plane there is science to them

The house I live, the gadgets making my food

The  machines washing my clothes

The clothes I wear, the phone I speak

The TV I see, the news, visuals,music

Emanating from there all due to Science

Science touches me everywhere

The rivers, seas, the blue sky, the stars,

The plants, the way they do photosynthesis

To make food for themselves and us

All tell the Science in them in all

It is well nigh impossible to see a place where

there is no Science, Science is omnipresent,

Omniscient, omnipotent, Science is Godly

For knowledge and the light we see

Some may ask is these all not technology

Science is the foundation on which

The whole edifice of technology is built, such

Is the magnificence of  Science, just see the Science!

Love is more accommodating, getting along in comfort

Than mere physical appreciation of beauty

Beauty is transient, withering away over time

Yet the love stands the test of time

Bypassing, overlooking the physical vagaries

Love is sweet, beautiful ,evergreen,

It’s honey, heaven, fragrant flower

Melodious music, rhythmic dance,

It’s tonic, food, energy, rejuvenating,

Humane, divine, real blessing

I am lucky to have such love

Let all be lucky in love

Enjoying the angels beauty

Strewn along their path

Some not lucky to get caught on high tides

To walk on thorny paths

For them to HNY is an occasion to mask their sadness

Let the HNY bring smiles into their lives too

For they also deserve a better deal in life

Eating cakes on the new year day is symbolic

An attempt to make the first day and the rest of the days

In the new year sweet, let the sweetness linger longer ,

prolong till end of the year

Let us light up the lives of less privileged

For the evolved happiness is all within ourselves

Not in worldly pleasures, enjoyment

In riches, luxury, but in inner happiness
