Life in the metro city

Unaware and unmindful
That the city has been built
Encroaching nature, felling trees,
sealing all water reservoirs
Life thrives in the sprawling metro city

Except the beaches, rivers, lakes, where it
connects to open free skies, sun rise and sun set
It’s disconnect all through the city
Rows of buildings interspersed with Streets
occupy it’s length and breadth hiding the horizons

Smart phones and whatsapp groups
remain open as the windows to all the residents,
24X7 ,365 days in all places, offices, shops, residences
except bath rooms, some take them there too!
Way to interconnect, know the news, assemble meets

It’s morning to work hurry, hurry, hurry!
It’s evening shops, back home hurry, hurry, hurry!
Time to ride on the metro, electric trains, time to bike,
Time to ride the car, jostling for space in hurry
Hurry and run is the way of life in the metropolis!

Go roam malls, go eat restaurants, parties
Burgers, pizzas, get togethers all dutiful rituals
Like temple visits of yester years,
Is this life worth leading in the city?
For them yes it is the life worth in the city

The food, milk they eat, drink comes from far off lands,
The water they drink comes from far of reservoirs,
Still water is not pure, packaged water is the norm
Everything for leading the life comes from elsewhere
Yet they are here to make a living and live

This crowded living, crowded moving about
With or without getting to know each other
Being friendly or as strangers has the charm
For all metropolitans to carry on living
Come what may is the story of life in metro city!

It takes courage to love

It takes courage to love
It takes courage to say love
It takes all courage to succeed the love
Fear plays spoil sport in love
Back out not fear not, pursue in full clip

It takes indomitable spirit to declare,
to say I love you to the sweetheart
to face rejection, to confront opposition,
from the family, villains aplenty
fortune favours the brave, be brave!

The fear of rejection, the fear of her
shunning the regular path she walks
the fear of her stopping normal talks
all haunt the mind no end there fear wins
sending courage needed to the sidelines

The love remains untold in fear
It takes extra ordinary courage
to win this war between fear and courage
to uttter the love, do take courage
Face the music in full confidence

Take heart!  Have the courage to say the love
Have the courage to face rejection
Have the courage to counter opposition
Have the courage to sail through the turbulence
There you win, courage wins, love wins, yay!

Biology, harmones, sizzling chemistry!

Biology ,harmones inspired
We fell in love very deep
Sizzling chemistry cemented the relation tight
Matching wavelengths clinched the deal set
We ended up as couple perfect!

As is the case from time immemorial
From the days of Adam and Eve
We just continue the tradition
Of love in true spirit and sincerity
In two way traffic of love back and forth

Love blossomed as a flower
Making the mundane dreary life enjoyable
In sweet days of courtship and bliss
Biology, harmones, still playing their games
To get us children to sustain our generation

Sizzling chemistry keeps us going in love
in matching wavelengths to cherish the children
bringing them up into noble citizens in life
handing them down the baton of love
to continue the cycle to the generations next!

Love transcends the barriers of nations
Regions, age etc., nothing more enjoyable
Than true, perfect love, mutual not one sided
Even in the modern times biology, harmones et al.,
Still exist, so does love, enjoy love to enjoy life!

I am a phoneless boy!

Amidst smart phone doting populace
I am a phoneless boy! Just no calls, songs,
Videos to engage!I did have phones going around
With them talking at will while on the move
When at rest at home or elsewhere

All that  changed when the crowds
Around  began to take needless interest in me
As if I am the one who really matters amidst
All breaking news, demonetisation, leaders
Passing away, other important happenings

The crowds pursue wherever I go, taking interest
In whatever I do, they got fond of my phones
Stealing one phone after the other in succession
That I find it hard to replace each and every time, Yea,
I am a phoneless boy with no means to call dear ones

For the net my mode is laptop and USB modem
I seek unknown persons to make calls or leave urgent
Messages, posts in facebook to let my position known
Go on travel with no links in between except few calls
when in absolute need, through other’s phones

I may be phoneless and out of reach
Yet I am not boneless, fleshless,
Blood less and emotion less while
Going without phone, clear these crowds
Away, I will be a phone owning boy again!
