Unaware
and unmindful
That
the city has been built
Encroaching
nature, felling trees,
sealing
all water reservoirs
Life
thrives in the sprawling metro city
Except
the beaches, rivers,lakes, where it
connects
to open free skies, sun rise and sun set
It’s
disconnect all through the city
Rows
of buildings interspersed with Streets
occupy
it’s length and breadth hiding the horizons
Smart
phones and whatsapp groups
remain
open as the windows to all the residents,
24X7
,365 days in all places, offices, shops, residences
except
bath rooms, some take them there too!
Way
to interconnect, know the news, assemble meets
It’s
morning to work hurry, hurry, hurry!
It’s
evening shops, back home hurry, hurry, hurry!
Time
to ride on the metro, electric trains, time to bike,
Time
to ride the car, jostling for space in hurry
Hurry
and run is the way of life in the metropolis!
Go
roam malls, go eat restaurants,parties
Burgers,
pizzas, get togethers all dutiful rituals
Like
temple visits of yester years,
Is
this life worth leading in the city?
For
them yes it is the life worth in the city
The
food, milk they eat, drink comes from far off lands,
The
water they drink comes from far of reservoirs,
Still
water is not pure, packaged water is the norm
Everything
for leading the life comes from elsewhere
Yet
they are here to make a living and live
This
crowded living, crowded moving about
With
or without getting to know each other
Being
friendly or as strangers has the charm
For
all metropolitans to carry on living
Come
what may is the story of life in metro city!
