Something for the love of villages

After yearning for so many days to go to villages
Finally got to travel to villages after a function
The scene outside the train on both sides
Turned out to be green, green, green all the way
On the entire stretch of the journey

For once I felt happy, excited to see the villages
Elated to realise the dreams of villages come true
Was it the lure of hidden money or treasures
Stashed away in villages? indeed there were treasures
When i alighted from the train to actually visit them

The treasures of serene pollution free environs
The eye soothing green plants, trees, green paths
With few buildings, living tenements, small population
That inhabited the village number one, two, three I visited
Unlike the buildings, towns ,cities that replaced the villages

The built up concrete jungled towns, cities to remain so
I wished the village milieu remained an endless stretch of villages
Villages are saviours of environment, soul of our country
Just as our souls in our inner recesses of the body
In the remote interiors of country, with true nice behaviour people

I m here out of love for the villages
To do something for the love of the villages
For their betterment, without upsetting them
Their oneness with the nature, by educating them,
help set up tiny agro processing units

It is a wish of all well meaning village lovers
To stop men, material and money flowing out of them
To make the money flow to them from the cities
Where villages become fulcrum, focus of living in this country,
that’s doing something for the love of villages, Amen!

N.B:- My other love for space, astronomy, et al may wait for a while. There is a chance to integrate them later, poetry always accompanies so it is all inclusive
