Welcome New Year, time for new hope

The stroke of midnight, the bell tolls informing

Earth’s one more revolution around our Golden sun

Firecrackers erupt spewing sparks of light

in the night dispelling the darkness ushering in

a new year, welcome new year, it’s time for new hope

Time and space has flowed sweeping aside

The good, bad and ugly of year gone

Sweeping not under the carpet to surface later

All hopefully gone in full, without any bitter traces

Paving the way for a new hope, new beginning

New hope for peace and happiness

For all the blokes, families, communities, nations

New hope for the less privileged, poor and needy

New hope for those working for their welfare

Hopes are eternal yet these hopes spring afresh

Let there be new hope the humanity’s divisions perish

Let there be new hope to work for humanity’s raise

Stashing all hatred, enmity into the dust pin

the year gone be that dust pin stashed away

emptied and burnt without trace, amen!

Glory to new year, glory to one and all

Welcome, welcome, welcome new year

Dance, sing, slice cakes to give away to one and all

Cheers, cheers all around all around the world

With new year and it’s new hopes
