Crying not only for the lives lost but also for the forest

Image result for kurangani fire

In the fog swirling mountain peak
Scorching sun light lit the fire
Mountain trekking journey
Turned a final journey for the trekkers
Kuraangani forest caught fire
Crying started all over for the
Hapless trapped in the infernalpyre

I am crying too not only for the lives lost
But also for the precious forest burt
Questions galore on the fire mishap
Why the trekkers chose this time
When the cool mountain turns sizzling hot
Who, what actually lit the fire
With the questions still rankling
Rescue started in right earnest

Forest,police,army and air force personnel
Descended on to the site
The ill-fated forest whole India was talking about
Fires were doused by spraying helicopters
Still some lives lost, many lives won

In the battle with death to live on
In the age of hi tech why not long vision binoculars
To watch over the changing milieu in the forests
In the days of missiles why not a water bomb missile
To shoot them the moment it catches fire
Let the scientific thoughts fructify
Put into action and let the forests be saved
Rest in Peace the unlucky departed souls, RIP Forest

N.B;- composed with a heavy heart as condolences , poems can't bring back the lives lost and the forest burnt
