Saying "Cheers" to the Alcohol!

Those men sat around the round table
they had a 'haze' around them
in contrast to 'halo' in holy texts
oh, drinking men and drunk men!

buoyed up by the spirits of alcohol
they wanted to buoy up the spirit of alcohol itself
and said "cheers" to the alcohol in the bottle before them!

Like the love is blind their alcohol love is also blind!

they sat in gratitude to the alcohol
for emboldening them to speak up animated
for making them feel light and float
all worries seem to have vanished into thin air
everything seemed so easy and conquerable
Yay! cheers to the alcohol!

Me no alcohol lover or drinker
still amused by the effect of alcohol on them
ruminating the science of alcohol
taking over the brain and making it pleasant

It is on the doctor's list as medicine
prescribing just that pint
to stay good in cholestrol

and sleep better

I am still in no mood and mind to hug the alcohol,
love it and say "cheers"
it's for preferring lovers to say that
let them not forget their own and family health
drowning into the bottle as gulp in torrents
crossing the pint level many times over

I am here to say cheers to alcohol
when the sweet killer
goes away from my drinking fellows lives
That is my way to say the "cheers"!
