World going gaga over MOM!

For a change mom is not our mummy

It’s India’s Mars Mission Orbiter to Mars

The name now on the lips of one and all

MOM turning talk of the place, town, city, world

Yea It’s MOM, MOM, MOM the world over

Giving up the originally planned not yet ready GSLV

It blasted off aboard the time tested PSLV

On a trajectory different  to NASA’s MAVEN

Raising the orbit levels by firing the engines -Round

The Sun giving the final escape velocity push to Mars

After ten months of cruising into space >>>>>>

On Hoffman transfer orbit to catch up with Mars

MOM made it there finally firing retro engines to slow

To get captured into the orbit path around Mars

Yay! MOM made it, made it, made it!

Those skeptical about it making to Mars

Are up on their feet  joining the round of applause

All around , all over the World congratulating,

Appreciating the low cost project to Mars

Costing even less than a football league player!

MOM proved it’s main objective of reaching Mars

Undertaking interplanetary travel, Study of Mars,

finding methane ,other things remain

Hopefully MOM will accomplish more doing India proud

MOM will reign supreme then

For once I take pride as from the land of MOM

Like being proud of it’s heritage, culture,

civilization, tradition , ancient sages

Thank you MOM let me do my bit

Doing you pride by my own deeds, Salute!
