Jolly Dog!

Visiting new places is always jolly, fun

Especially so when made with intention to just visit

Here was something so special and pleasant

When visiting a house at the new place-

A jolly dog!

A short white and brown bushy haired marvel

Befriended me as I sat  on the first visit

Jumping upto me with it’s tiny two feet

Hanging in mid air, climbing onto  my thighs

Licking, scenting me to remember me anytime

A jolly dog more an intelligent child than a dog

seeing his pet people with something in hand

he barks a lovely ‘vav’ vav’ sensing it is something to eat

jumping with two feet hanging in mid air

saying ‘hey I want that thing in your hand, give me that!’

When I took the camera to capture it

It looked promptly up at the camera in hand

With watchful eyes not afraid or shy

Showing  it is camera savvy not camera shy

A fun, favorite play, pastime for all in the house

All turn child and playful

Infected by it’s playfulness

Enjoying the times with it forgetting

all the tense and worrying moments

Spent in the day and life

The way it licks, scents. runs, sits, sleeps, barks

vav vav are all a joy and delight to watch, cherish

Sure one intelligent petty dog

Making things light and easy

A jolly dog is a jolly dog no compare

When I leave for home, I take home

 the memories of this wonderful jolly dog

capturing it in the camera for one last time

to see, relish the memories of being with it

Thank you Jolly dog will remember you for a long time!
