the festival day of colors and love

applying,throwing coloured dry powder,water

with hands,water guns and water balloons on friends and foes

a day of fun ,frolic and love, Holi, holi, jolly,jolly!

                    

Legend has it that the killing of Holika the evil  woman

By Prahaladha is celebrated in remembrance

With choicest colors another legend has it Krishna

Playing with Radha with pasting of colors remembered

Holika or Krishna , Radha Holi is Holi with colors and love

It’s fun on the streets, parks, outside temples

Applying, throwing colors on the loved ones,foes and strangers

Creating a bonhomie, good will ,fostering love, banishing hate

When  celebrated in true spirits holi is noble

Making Holi day a jolly jolly day, enjoy!

Come one, come all here we are in the open

With colors in hand, in guns and balloons

It’s a blast , act with love,sing, dance to Holi

The day of light heartedness shaking all worries

Yay! Holi, Holi , Holi, jolly, jolly, jolly!
