Juno, Juno, Juno! Hero, Hero, Hero!

Juno, Juno, Juno!
Hero, Hero, Hero!
NASA’s Hero! United States Hero!
Adding double cheers to the Independence day
Celebrations, cheers arriving at Jupiter, for the
long awaited rendezvous on  the 4 th July, 2016.

Launched in August,2011 atop Atlas V rocket
Released from the payload fairing after second stage
Finally separating from Centaur stage on
Orbit around  Earth, obtaining escape velocity
Zoomed into space in a helio centric orbit
Retuning to Earth in 2013, to get gravity assist boost

Propelled to Jupiter ,cruised on 5 years in
blank space powered by solar panel arrays for the
first time unlike the other spacecrafts into deep space
using Radio Thermoelectric Generator(RTG), Hurtling
at an incredible speed of 2,66,000 km/hour,decelerating
it to  capture into Jupiter’s Orbit on 5 th July, 2016

Aptly named after the Jupiter God’s wife Juno
able to see through the clouds
Set by her husband to hide his mischief
Juno will resolve the mysteries of the giant planet
Peering through it’s atmosphere, gravity field,
Magnetic fields, water and ammonia

It’s origin and evolution over 37 orbits
lasting 20 months, providing clue
to the formation of solar system,
All such planetary systems, other star systems
All through the universe, Juno is real hero!
Well done NASA! Well done Juno!
