Or a sports star? No!

Here Im on the spot on the railway platform

Where the super star will be arriving soon

Here comes chug, chugging, the grand train!

Yea right , train is India’s real super star

Serving as a lifeline for crores of people

Criss crossing south to north, north to south

West to east, east to west,

Connecting India’s farthest reaches

Millions commute for their daily office going

Between cities, cities to towns, towns to cities

Rich , middle class and poor all travel aboard it

Enjoying the ride in comfort, seeing the side by sceneries

Railway journey is the best way to see the country, travel it

The country side untouched by the modern livings

Villages, Towns, cities all dot along it’s route

Thousands of kilometress across the country

Though taking more time than the planes

Yet it remains the most affordable means to commute

It remains the livelihood for the peddlars of sweets

Ground nuts, bananas, oranges, hot samosas

Hundred other things for personal use,

The means of business , livelihood for the catering companies

Their personnel almost living their life on the train

Without this India’s super star how will all travel

Thousands of kilometers in comfort yet by economy

Accommodating two to three thousand per train in one go

The super star is gift to the nation, it’s crores of citizens

Long live the train, Long live the Super star!
