Face, the whistlelblower

My face-
When I am happy
When I am sad
When I am sleepless
When I am tired
When I am tense and anxious
When I am ageing
It just blows it’s whistle
Revealing the state of the moods I am in,
The stages of my life

The expression are it’s whistle
blown by the emotions churning within
There are timeI like that whistle
When I am happy, effulgent
When I am at presentable best
I like to display my face
as many times as possible
Mirror seems sweet then

There are times when I am
Looking haggard with lines of worry
tension, age climb over to my Mt.Everest
stridently whistling up on my face
I simply wish to hide my whistleblower
Out of sight or wear a total mask on
No use leaving the eyes open
Eyes themselves give away
As they are part of the face!

There are times when I just love
the whistleblower
Just expressionless, serene and peaceful
Irrespective of whether I wish to display,
Hide or love it’s unfair to blame it
When it’s just blown by emotions, age etc.,
Whistleblower you have a task
Bestowed upon by the nature
I acknowledge and try not to
Suppress your whistle!
You are my sweet baby
Whether you smile or cry!

Nature unlimited

I am living at a time
When they destroyed nature
Still destroying it with more vigor
Still I say there is lot that is nature
Yea nature unlimited

That’s a real challenge to establish
These are days of denuding forests
The vanishing rains, shrinking natural habitats
Yet forests still exist where civilization
Yet to touch and make a living

So long as the rivers, waterfalls,
Valleys, deep green meadows, trees
Continue to exist and thrive in isolation
Nature will continue to exist
That’s heartening indeed with whatever left!

Regulating, stopping  deforestation a must
to save pockets of nature being run over
to leave last vestiges of nature
All sad real stories of Earth
Yet nature exists way beyond Earth, right?

The skies, planets, stars, galaxies,
Other cosmic bodies are all nature
A testimony to nature all over the universe
Even who defy God can’t defy nature
That way nature is unlimited!

That’s a sad way to comfort ourselves
When nature is rubbed on the wrong way
It’s possible to enjoy the nature beyond Earth
if only the nature remains unlimited back on Earth
Let better senses prevail to protect nature, amen!

I have my own shoes to step into

To step into someone’s  shoes
Is to emulate, follow the path of some one,
In effect be a successor
With due respect to all those someone
I would like to step into my own shoes

Yea, I have my own shoes to step into
It’s more a matter of self-confidence
Than being heady, arrogant or proud
My arrogance or otherwise will never
make a difference to the greatness of some one

Be it Robert frost or Shakespeare as poet
Einstein or Nicole Tesla as scientist
Mother Theresa or Kamaraj as social worker
They held their own, great in their own right
To leave their shoes is to respect, rever

Confidence apart  I wish to to make myself
Worthy to place myself high up along
The likes of the greats, I have to strive hard
Setting myself high standards to follow
Being worthy of my own shoes first!

Running away from the population, crowds

The jostling crowds you like?
Sorry I don’t for my own reasons
I am as social as I could be, still I am
running away from the population, crowds
mainly to be in seclusion, solitude

To be away from them destroying nature
Their  greed for luxury making all a living hell
They want to live in comfort  and affluence
at the cost of others and me, they want to
roam around the world leaving my privacy in peril

They simply interfere, spy 24 hours
365 days that is non stop oppression, abuse
Even the sages with all their love and kindness
Went to forests to meditate and be in peace
As the crowds and population would not let them

I may not be at home with them
They are at home in gathered living
Let them be and enjoy their way
I opt out simply I enjoy that way
Yes running, running, away!

The Moringa Tree

Image may contain: tree, plant, outdoor and nature

The immediate green around me
Is my little home garden
The moringa Tree is part of the garden
Standing tall with branches and green leaves
Is part of my scheme for self-grown food

The leaves, flowers and the moringa itself
All have food and medicinal value
Aesthetic to look, nutritious, yummy to palate
Of course not raw but cooked
The tree is indeed a valuable asset to possess

Whenever there is no other vegetable
It comes handy with all it’s eatable parts
Once it is planted it is easy to grow
Must say it grows on it’s own with little help
Once grown it lasts and lasts

Like all trees it is an oxygen factory too
Swallowing harmful carbon di oxide
Letting out rich pure oxygen to breathe
I just love this moringa tree,I respect moringa!
Long live moringa! Hail it’s handiness!

Grown for thousands of years it is handy
for millions, billions all over the world
to fill up their nutrient demands
Just grow it have it in home around you
Stay blessed, stay happy with moringa!

Star stripped sky!

The night sky today is bleak and morose
all the twinkling stars have gone into hiding
Dense dark clouds have reported for duty instead
Closing all traffic for the star lights to come down
Darkness has befallen with a star stripped sky

Star lights are heaven’s angels
Carrying the stories of the stars,
Their birth, their times and death
Through million, billion, trillion light years
In kaleidoscopic brilliance

Stars are not the sole residents of
The sprawling space colony
Neutron stars, pulsars, black holes et. al.,
Make up the rest of the space dwellers
Throwing clues on the origin of the universe

The star stripped sky
Has stopped all those star movies
Shown from dusk to dawn
It’s dark barren screen all over the sky
Darkness is the only show now on display!

Let the dark clouds drift off
Then the star lights will begin to show up
Star stripped sky will be star filled sky then
Star lovers! Let’ s go home, take a break
Come another day the stars will be back!

Ah! Science Express! Ah! Monsoon rain!

Image may contain: 6 people, people smiling, outdoor

Boarded the early morning train
From my place to reach another train
In Kerala, the God’s own country
Nearing the destination it started raining
Welcome showers! Nice rousing reception !

Got down at the destination
After a five hour pleasant journey
The first thing I did was to look around
My eyes spotted the train in refreshing white
In the far platform: Ah! Science Express!

All my sleepiness and weariness
Were gone giving way to the the mounting
Thrill and curiosity to see the
Climate Action special exhibits on board
the compartments in air conditioned ambience

Dear polar bears facing threats, the dreaded
dengue, chicken guniya, malaria spreading,
agriculture, water , forest all taking a beating
all due to climate change, mitigation by
alternative energies reducing emissions explained

School, college students were in queue
Moved along side by side with me
As I went over around 16 compartments
Ah! Science Express! The star of the station
For all the three beautiful days of it’s camp

As I stepped out of the express after meeting
The manager of science express, donating my
Own authored books as humble gift to the noble train
The subsided rains came back in full force! Ah!
Monsoon rain! The star of the day like Science Express!

Visit to my old school

Long 30 years after leaving
Memories of my school days came back
The urge to pay a visit to my old school
Surged within me in right earnest

The school was some 5 kilometres
Away from my village
With only a mud road to connect to the
main bus plying road a kilometre away

Getting to school was always by walk
Barefoot with nothing to protect the feet
Yet barefoot was common those days
neither treated as poor, nor frowned upon

Well, the plan took shape
me one fine day landing at the school
All the way from the city I live, OMG!
a state minister on visit too that day!

How it came to be like that
Whether the minister got wind of my plans,
timed it to perfection to visit
On the same day as I visited!

That left very little for me to do
Except seeing the head master briefly
Letting him know I was school first
In the leaving exams of the school

The vast open space in front of the
Office building has given way to buildings
Hearteningly the foot ball field across the road on
the other side where we played cricket still there

Growing into a big man was the
Yearning those days, having grown big
Now there is a wish I never grew up to remain
a school boy, the visit reinstated that wish afresh!

Aristocratic poem

 https://s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com/736x/c1/3b/33/c13b3335467a951dda7e9d38d41936bb.jpg

When I feel majestic and king like
When the flow is spontaneous
When the rhyme and rhythm is melodious
When the words march in royal avenues
There comes the aristocratic poem!

In the poem there is nobility yet humility
There is aplomb yet simplicity
There love blossoms in sublime sanctity
There nature beckons in pristine purity
There science ushers into a thrilling journey

It’s born when there is a feel composing one
Of the best poems ever if not the very best
It’s born when it raises above selfish considerations
Of not just love, romance and what not to lend voice
For the betterment of the world, poor and downtrodden

A real aristocratic poem is not the one royal in birth
In standing yet the one is noble when kind,
considerate, philanthropic  that makes
Not just the rich but the poor also to like it, above all
it ascends and sits on golden throne majestically!

Heaven or hell may wait till I live!

 https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/proxy/AVvXsEjrXUv0BoIMobhUAoXwtYuS0iBEpbfsbSpl6CG34OhxGq0NZoHEHVERSQ1Z4yPnW5etRCO7hvGrv8ygps5ww243Sq4OL05oQ3LmMGgwYLKXsSIX8zLFAEg_I6wsOONJuhWymVb7-hknZm19eCP1VCpp2DHaZ7Yz2qNosShUNNW8RwKkx5xYZlqCQ305V6i1I13aXvg=w530-h456-p

Heaven or hell awaits
On good deeds or bad deeds in life
As the belief goes
That’s after death, right?
That’s pretty distance away!

Till then a whole life awaits living
Yea! I have a life to live before I die
Let me live first!
Heaven or hell may wait till I live!
Try to enjoy as much as I can till then!

Heaven is said to be full of angels
In company with palaces to live
With lovely gardens to cherish
Hell said to be with seething cauldron
To be immersed in pain for sins back on Earth

Not going to while away dreaming the
Prospect of pleasant heavens
Or live in mortal fear of excruciating hell
Now bent on making the most of the days here
Heaven or hell it may wait!

Will try to live a life contented
Enjoying with what little or more I get
Try to do things for the good of the world
Try to leave my minuscule foot prints back on here
Before I leave for heaven or hell, amen!

Life is the same for all
It is not any different to anyone
With eating working, sleeping, doing things
It’s the way we live, leave behind
Will try to make a difference as live, Yea!
