The night sky today is bleak and morose
all
the twinkling stars have gone into hiding
Dense
dark clouds have reported for duty instead
Closing
all traffic for the star lights to come down
Darkness
has befallen with a star stripped sky
Star
lights are heaven’s angels
Carrying
the stories of the stars,
Their
birth, their times and death
Through
million, billion, trillion light years
In
kaleidoscopic brilliance
Stars
are not the sole residents of
The
sprawling space colony
Neutron
stars, pulsars, black holes et. al.,
Make
up the rest of the space dwellers
Throwing
clues on the origin of the universe
The
star stripped sky
Has
stopped all those star movies
Shown
from dusk to dawn
It’s
dark barren screen all over the sky
Darkness
is the only show now on display!
Let
the dark clouds drift off
Then
the star lights will begin to show up
Star
stripped sky will be star filled sky then
Star
lovers! Let’ s go home, take a break
Come
another day the stars will be back!
